Q. Can I use any router on the MTN network?
A: No, the MTN network only allows routers which have been pre-approved by them.
Q. Can I use my MTN service anywhere?
A: No, MTN will geo-lock the service to the address specified on the order.
Q. What happens if I move home / offices?
A: MTN allows one move per year, per service. If you are moving, just let us know. We’ll do the address change for you and let you know once done.
Q. Can I top up data?
A: Yes, just let us know how much data you need, and we’ll do it for you.
Q. Do I need to change APN settings?
A: If the router and SIM are ordered from us, it will be pre-configured for you. If a SIM only is ordered, the APN details will need to be changed. Don’t worry – we’ll help you.
Q. Is my IP private or public?
A: MTN will only provide a public dynamic IP address for their Fixed LTE service.
Q. Can I upgrade / downgrade my package?
A: Yes, this can be done anytime. The service change will be active from the 1st of the following month.
Q. Can I have multiple MTN Fixed LTE services?
A: Yes, they just need to be used at the specified address.
Q. What happens if I sign up in the middle of the month?
A: You will be receive a pro-rata data allocation and be billed pro-rata from date of activation.
Q. What happens if my area gets fibre?
A: No problem, just let us know and we’ll do the service change for you.
Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A: The service can be cancelled after 6 months with 30 days’ notice.
